ROAST BEEF LUNCH WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT 2013
Take part in the attempt to break the Guinness World Record® for the most people simultaneously served a roast dinner.
Led by female beef farmers ‘Ladies in Beef’, the event takes place at lunchtime on Thursday 10 October at the Bath and West showground near Shepton Mallet in Somerset.
All funds raised will go to farming charity R.A.B.I. (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution).
To break the world record, which stands at 1,632, there must be at least five minutes in which everyone is eating at the same time - only those who have their roast beef main course in front of them can be counted. After that guests can enjoy the rest of their meal, which includes apple pie and cream, at leisure.
You must arrive by 11.30am to ensure that seating begins at noon and the countdown to service can begin. There will be entertainment to make it a truly memorable occasion.
Provided we break the record – and with your help we can! – you will receive a certificate to prove you were there.
Tickets include wine or soft drinks and coffee or tea. Car parking is free.
