Haltwhistle Walking Fest. Northumberland Day 2017

Supporting the 2017 Northumberland Day, Haltwhistle Walking Festival are pleased to be running two walks on Sunday 28th May 2017.

Please contact the Walking Festival office 01434 322025 or haltywalkfest@btinternet.com if you need more information. Heavy rain will produce muddy conditions underfoot. Please be well prepared for this on the walks.

Walk 1 Haltwhistle Circular

This is a 12 mile, strenuous walk to Featherstone Castle, the Coanwood Quaker Meeting House and the Lambley viaduct. 9:30 start from Haltwhistle Market Place.

Walk 2 Haltwhistle Burn and Beyond

A 7 mile, moderate walk alongside Haltwhistle Burn, to Cawfields Quarry on the Hadrian's Wall Trail and back via the Alston Arches on the South Tyne. 11 am start from Haltwhistle Market Place.
